Duke Malphas d'Xuvadon is an archdemon who is the Lord of the Duchy of Northern Yamato and the leader of the Northern Horde in the Third Age. He is among the youngest demons to reach such a high position, and he is very ambitious and arrogant, even going so far as to try to make Grand Duchess Nhrakate d'Zarnagon acknowledge him as a potential mate. He has sent Dreadlord Leraje Thanadar to conquer Libaterra but his arrogance has recently caused him to be tricked into becoming a servant of the Eastern Horde when Nina Heeate L'andariel put a geas on him.
