Ord Noresh was part of the Ordnance/Regional Depot program of the Old Republic. Colonized in 12,000 BBY, the planet and the Sutar system that it is contained within is close to Adumar. One of the most valuable finds out of all of the Ords, the planet was found to be rich in metals and minerals. The estimated worth of all the minerals was in the trillions of credits, and multiple mining companies and business interests wished to get in on the action on the planet. Also the planet has two moons in its orbit, which also had large amounts of minerals and metals locked beneath the surface. A large number of settlers went there and began to colonize the planet.
