The Silver Tonfa Award is a running joke at the Academy, stemming from the historical actions of the first student to ever be officially expelled. The student wielded a silver tonfa which carries his curse. The story goes that the wielder of the Silver Tonfa claims it has mystical powers when none exist. These include bestowing upon the wielder martial arts prowess unlike the world has ever seen, freeing the wielder from any ties or restraints, and automatically returning to its owners hands when taken. In reality, its just a piece of wood spray painted silver with bits of black electrical tape.
