Along with his friend Sammy the panda, he saw Sonic as he plunged into the cloaked Zone. Sammy and Sammy brought Sonic to Steve Owl. They were later rescued by Sonic from a Badnik attack and led to the Emerald Hill Zone, where they could join the resistance against Doctor Robotnik.
