Superpowers is a timeline which examines the effect of three PODs in producing a world devoid of minor states and ruled by a dozen great powers. Each divergence from reality pushed a nation (Rome, Maya & Mongolia) into a stable political equilibrium over a large geopolitical region. Once these states achieved dominance in a cultural and local political sense they became almost impossible to internally overturn.
