The Turboat worked exceptionally brilliant on the land, but did not so in water. The Turboat eventually sunk after travelling a few meters from the American side of the shore. Tanner and Adam Ferrara, whose boat also sunk, climbed into Rutledge Wood's amphibious car, which went well, until it too got problems in the middle of the lake. Fed up, Tanner was rescued by his friends in a luxury yacht, and left his fellow presenters in the middle of Lake Ontario. Ferrara and Wood eventually managed to reach Canada, but were arrested for arriving without passports.
