Frederick Thomas Halse (1879-1 June 1966) was a businessman, Territorial Army officer and politician. Born in Devon, Halse moved to the south east London where he was involved in a number of businesses in the Woolwich area including dealing in motor engines, managing a billiard hall and land development. In 1929 he became honorary colonel of the 20th London Regiment. He held the post until December 1949, during which time the unit was converted to an anti-aircraft role firstly as part of the Royal Engineers and finally as a Royal Artillery regiment.
