The Confederate Council was a major component of the Terran Confederacy government. It was based out of Tarsonis. The Council was generally viewed as corrupt, and noted for having no mandate from the people. The Old Families also wielded a large degree of political influence. It shared governing duties with the elected Confederate Senate.
