Sam (Salvatore) and Peter (Pietro) Genna were the first of the six Genna brothers to arrive to Chicago in April, 1906. Sam was the political fixer of the gang, while Angelo Genna and Mike Genna were the enforcers. Angelo was also considered to be the boss of the crime family. The Genna's formed the Marsala club which linked them to their fellow countrymen who had arrived in Chicago from Marsala, province of Trapani, Sicily and exploited their fellow compatriots by making them workers in their alcohol stills and loansharking victims.
