Defean is a minor status ailment that lasts for three to eight turns introduced in Pokémon Sun & Moon Versions. Its effect is that for its duration, there is a 75% chance that the affected Pokémon cannot hear the trainer's commands. The trainer knows the ailment is over when the game states that "(Pokémon) regained hearing!" However, Pokémon are not affected by moves that are blocked by Soundproof such as Uproar. Also, Pokémon with Soundproof are not affected by this.
