Jackson Pollock was a part-time artist and full-time falling-down drunk. He originated the "Graine de l'homme" painting style, "Graine de l'homme" being French for "Moose diarrhea". Pollock intended his paintings as a drunken joke, and was taken completely by surprise when a bunch of fancy-pants New York art snobs started calling him a genius. He needed beer money, however, so he went along with it and did his best to be somewhat sober during exhibitions. This article is a stub.
