He helped Kris and Rolan guard Talia when her Gift went rogue, and helped Kris re-train her. There is some speculation that he may be the reincarnation of Herald Tantras, who was a prominent Herald in the reign of King Randale. He was killed by arrows during Kris and Talia's attempt to escape Ancar's forces in the royal palace of Hardorn.
