Forbesiceras is an ammonite and type genus for the Forbesiceratidae from the Upper Cretaceous Cenomanian. Shells are very involute, only the outer whorl being visible, compressed and high whorled. Sides are flat or slightly convex. The outer rim, known as the venter, is narrow and flat, and may have 1 or 3 very feeble keels. Ribs are fine, dense, and curved. The suture has finely divided elements. Forbesiceras is derived form Schoenbachia which includes examples with similar venters and ribs.
