The Age of Mourning sees the end of The Foe, who is defeated after the Battle of the Octagon around 3600 BF. Exhausted from their struggles against the Foe, the Dragons retreat into seclusion giving way for the emergence of the Frontacian Empire. This Empire would grow to dominate the known world for nearly 2600 years. The Great Change marks the end of the Age of Mourning.
