Vaden Wick is a minor character in the High Druid of Shannara trilogy. He is the charismatic commander of the Free-born army during the war against the Federation on the Prekkendoran Heights. Although an aged and highly respected Southlander named Droshen was the nominal leader of the Free-born army, it was Vaden who actually commanded the army on the battlefield. Vaden was a veteran of countless campaigns against Gnome tribes before coming to the Prekkendorran to fight alongside the Elves against the Federation.
