Grans Island is an important location in Shining Force II: Ancient Sealing and Shining Force Gaiden: Final Conflict. The former begins and ends on Grans Island. Grans Island is a continent to the west of Parmecia. Although smaller in size then Parmecia, Grans Island is nonetheless a large place with varying natural features such as rivers, plains, and mountains. The southern half is mostly civilized, containing numerous settlements and at least two large city-states and their kingdoms, Granseal and Galam. The northern half of Grans Island, sealed off from the south by a great river and man-built fortifications, is mostly a wild wilderness where few civilized races ever tread.
