The company was founded in 2005 by Christian Beckman and Justin Raleigh, former employees of the now-defunct makeup effects company Edge FX, Inc., and is based in Burbank, California. It is not associated with Quantum Mechanix's QMx FX Cinema Arts division in any manner.
