Dokutsugakure recently has became a very powerful shinobi village, after the fall of the old world and the great nations being destroyed they quickly started to gain power, swallowing several shinobi clans in the process. Since the village known as Genzaigakure exceeded to great nation status the village has been pushing forward to gain the title of Kumakage. Their current Leader Rorick is viewed to be the one to make this goal happen.
