Verlis was a slave trader on the planet Domo who, perhaps facetiously, considered herself a 'public servant' for her work. Portrayed by Betty Marsden. Verlis appeared to be an old acquaintance of Servalan's. It was presumably from her that Servalan bought the actor she gave to Cancer. Avon came up for sale in an auction overseen by Verlis. Verlis refused to let Servalan buy him outright, despite allowing her to contravene other rules of the slave auctions.
