Roger Woodhouse was a relief manager brought in by Newton & Ridley to take over the Rovers Return when Alec and Bet Gilroy were confined to the living quarters in preparation for their forced removal by the brewery in 1990. Nigel Ridley had just installed Roger at the Rovers when Cecil Newton arrived and reinstated the Gilroys, putting the brakes on Nigel's theme pub idea. Alec and Bet then took their places behind the bar, and so Roger's services were not required. Roger Woodhouse was a non-speaking and uncredited role. He was played by an unknown actor.
