Ulfsild was Arch-Mage Shalidor's wife, but after he had become obsessed with trying to find a way to reclaim Eyevea, he began to give her little attention. As a result, Ulfsild left Shalidor, though he was too busy going through his research that he did not listen to her. After she left, he called her name, not even noticing that she had left, and continued on with what he was doing prior.
