Elias Tudbury was a captain in the Colonial Fleet. In the last days of Mar Sara, he served as the commanding officer of the prison ship Merrimack, a converted Leviathan-class battlecruiser, holding members of the Mar Sara Colonial Militia arrested after the Battle of Backwater Station. Due to the threat of the protoss, the crew was steadily shipped out leaving behind a skeleton crew. Tudbury wanted to join them and leave the prisoners to their fate.
