Peter Pachal was a 24th century Human Starfleet officer. In 2381, Pachal held the rank of captain and served as the commanding officer of the Federation starship USS Ranger during the Borg Invasion. Captain Pachal perished in an attack by the Borg in that year as the Ranger protected the Klingon planet Khitomer prior to the vessel sacrificing itself to save the planet.
