PNS Flamberge was a Sword-class heavy cruiser of the People's Navy. It was used as a test bed for one of the various refit proposals to overcome the class' weak countermissile capabilities. Portions of the offensive magazines were segmented off and the space used for additional countermissile magazines. While it gave the ship nearly twice the countermissile power, routing the countermissiles through the comparably unreliable anti-ship missile systems resulted in frequent jams which could disable an entire broadside.
