Ratchet: Madlocked was the 4th game in the Ratchet & Clank series. Clank didn't appear in the game because he was sponsored by MightyTech and was busy starring in his own reality TV series. It was possible that Clank didn't want to see his mate very mad in the arena, probably due to an overdose of drugs.
