The Quantum group was formed after the Zion Mob split, one part died of disease. The second part of the Zion Mob was joined by wild meerkats, making the group partly habituated. The group lived at the edge of the monitored area, the Quantum group existed for only two years, from 1994 to 1996. They were never fully habituated. In 1996, KMP decided to focus on other more habituated groups. The Quantum group was no longer followed and was soon lost.
