Teleria chattered nearly as much as Eilonwy herself, and was fussy about appearances and proper behavior. Perturbed by the state of Eilonwy and Taran's clothes, she arranged for them to be garbed more suitably for a royal court. It was her responsibility to train Eilonwy as a princess. Teleria punctuated her speech with asides, in which she would interrupt herself to state a separate thought before returning to her main point.
