Cantus the Minstrel appeared in animated form on the cartoon version of Fraggle Rock, in the episode "Gobo's Song." Cantus appeared suddenly in the cave, at a time when Gobo is questioning the importance of his mapmaking. Cantus performs "Let Me Be Your Song," and sends Gobo into a dream world where he meets ancient Fraggles. Though just as mysterious as his puppet counterpart, the animated Cantus is revealed as standing significantly taller than Gobo, and has a more streamlined, Fraggle-like appearance, with a tufted tail, and smooth snout.
