Mevolent was an Elemental and worshipper of the Faceless Ones He is the cause for several events comprising the Skulduggery Pleasant series, but is rarely mentioned because his actions did not directly affect the present until the sixth book. His surviving followers such as Nefarian Serpine, Baron Vengeous and Lord Vile are more prominent in the series. He routinely commands his Redhoods to kill him, only for him to revive himself due to even Death fearing him.
