Here is a small tutorial for videocapturing OpenArena: 1. Install OpenArena 2. start/join a game session if you just want to record (like a camera guy) type eam s and you will join spectator mode 3. use the console and type ecord filename This will record the game session until you enter 4. stop the recordin \stoprecord 5. quit the session 6. start the recorded demo \demo filename 7. before recording you will have to disable openal \s_useOpenAL 0 8. now you will actually create the videofile \video filename this converts the demo-file into an MJPEG avi or ~\.openarena\baseoa\videos\filename.avi (Linux)
