The Item Bag is an item that appears in both Mario Party 3 and Mario Party 4. The item bag will grant the player up to three items to carry in their inventory. The items that are given to the player is random, and usually contains common items like Mushrooms and Skeleton Keys. The item bag could only be purchased from an Item Shop, and are usually the most expensive item on the list. In Mario Party 3, both Baby Bowser and Toad carried the item bag at their shop. The item bags had a small possibility of granting the giving the player a rare item in this game also. The item bags could not be won in any mini-games or in any events.
