The unnamed Police Officer and his colleague, were deployed to safeguard the area around Lake Windermere which had been cordoned off following the discovery of a body in February 2010. After the completion of forensic testing, it had been confirmed that it was Manchester man Joe McIntyre that had been recovered from the water. The officers jovially commented that he was "certainly undercover now" - making reference to the investigative reporter, Donal MacIntyre.
