Law & Order: Cold Cases is an upcoming American police procedural and legal drama television series and is the most recent addition to the Law & Order franchise. NBC picked up the pilot to series by placing a 17 episode order for a first season on March 29, 2013. "In the criminal justice system, cases can often remain unsolved. In cases such as these, the police who investigate crime and the district attorneys who prosecute the offenders must revisit these crimes and work together to solve the case.
