The Waitress worked at the lap-dancing club in Manchester where Patrick Tussel, Les Battersby and Steve McDonald went out to celebrate Patrick's thirty-ninth birthday in June 2004. Patrick and Les were in their element as they got drunk, ogled the female staff and attempted to chat the waitress up as she was collecting glasses from their table. After abruptly telling them that most of their customers "tried it on" by making believe they were out to celebrate an occasion, Patrick attempted to kiss her but she managed to push him away, saying that she had foot and mouth disease. When asked by Les what time the pole-dancing started, she asked him what time he would be getting his wallet out.
