Headquartered on Coruscant, it was responsible for all Imperial special operations in distal parts of the galaxy in the Unknown Regions (beyond even Wild Space), such as the Chiss Ascendancy and the Ssi-ruuk Star Cluster, and was specially equipped with mobile special operations forces with logistical capabilities that allowed them to transverse up to forty-three thousand light-years from Coruscant. It also conducted special operations in astrographically-hindered areas of the Deep Core, such as Prakith, to where navigation was restricted because of the supermassive black hole at the center of the galaxy.
