Michael Dean Crapo (pronounced "Cray-poe") was born May 20, 1951 in Idaho Falls, Idaho. He graduated from Brigham Young University Summa Cum Laude in 1973 with a B.A. in Political Science and received his Juris Doctorate Cum Laude from Harvard Law School in 1977. Mike and Susan, married in June 1974, have five children: Michelle, Brian, Stephanie, Lara and Paul. Professionally, Mike was a partner in the law firm of Holden, Kidwell, Hahn & Crapo prior to his service in Congress. He is a member of the Idaho and California Bar Associations.
