Kirin Otoshi uses the same principle as Higuma Otoshi by quickly rotating his body the user creates centripedal force to absorb the force of any overhead smash, he then returns the ball with a lob that almost always lands on the opponents baseline. However the main difference is that Kirin is an upgraded variation of the Higuma Otoshi in the sense that the user uses two hands instead of one, allowing it to handle a higher level of power.
