WhatPulse is a program that counts how many keystrokes and clicks a user makes on their computer. The user occasionally sends this information to the WhatPulse website via a process called "pulsing". There, the user's keystrokes and clicks are added to their total so they can be ranked against other users, and, if they are in a group, against other groups. Board 8 has a group there, whose main goal is to get as high in the rankings as possible. As of December 2009, B8's WhatPulse team is 218 members strong and ranks as the 19th strongest on the site. The last cataloging of such was in March 2008, when the group was 36th, meaning in just under two years the team has moved up 17 places in all of WhatPulse.
