Gustave Reininger wrote the episode "Forgive Us Our Debts" and the unproduced episode "Mother's Keepers" of the series Miami Vice. He also co-created the series Crime Story (with Chuck Adamson), a show produced by Michael Mann that ran from 1986-88 and is cited by many as the first to use an overreaching story arc that reaches across multiple episodes. His other writing credits include the movie Last In, First Out, The Big Question, and Corso: The Last Beat and an episode of Robbery Homicide Division.
