Smith was a security guard at the CIA London station during Day 9. At 8:35pm, Smith stood watch over Steve Navarro in the station's infirmary, while a medic treated Navarro for injuries inflicted by Jack Bauer. Kate Morgan, seemingly bent on revenge, burst into the infirmary and disarmed Smith, ordering him and the medic to step away as she held a gun to Navarro's head and threatened to kill him.
