Raaashell was a dust spinner in the Lower City of Corus in the third century of the Human Era. She came into existence around Midsummer of 247 HE on the Nightmarket, near King Gareth's Fountain. Raaashell was only a small spinner, three inches high and six inches wide. Rebakah Cooper feared that she might not live through the winter and helped the spinner by giving it dirt from other parts of the city and helping it to get bigger. Afterwards Raaashell gave Beka her breezes, among them sounds of the Bread Riot. Thus Beka heard a bit of conversation between Tunstall and Goodwin after Tunstall had been hurt. She also learned from Raaashell that two men had dumped the corpses of Madon and Geraint Pell near the dust spinner who knew that there was someone around catching such talk as theirs on
