General Korrgar was a Klingon military officer who served as commander-in-chief of the Klingon forces that fought in the Battle of Donatu V in 2244. Following his defeat at the hands of the Federation forces, Korrgar blamed his failure on his inability to improvise on the field of battle, which he attributed to the rigid principles that were taught by his elders. Following this statement, he initiated his ship's self-destruct and killed all of the crew, rather than living with the shame of returning home. (TOS - My Brother's Keeper novel: Republic)
