Deskjump is a free network based desktop application written purely in java. It is also the name of the company which provides computer services based in london United kingdom. It belongs to the class of web operating system or webtop. This application is the first and only webtop to have been completely written in java. The service was launched in november 2007. This application is similar to GNOME,KDE X Window GUI for the linux but it differs in the aspect that this runs on the jvm. The applications look and feel remains the same on different platforms including Linux,windows and Mac OS X.
