Tim McCord (born June 28, 1979, in Sacramento, California) is the bass player for Evanescence.He is most known for playing guitar for the band The Revolution Smile from 2000 to 2004. He was announced as Evanescence's bass player in August 2006. Tim McCord replaced Evanescence's former bassist Will Boyd after he left in June 2006. His older brother, Matthew McCord, is active in the Sacramento indie music scene. He helped recording the 3rd self-titled studio album of Evanescence, which was released on October 7. in Europe and October 11. in the USA.
