William Miskin (1795 - 12 February 1867) was an apothecary and surgeon involved in local government in the Rotherhithe area. Born in Dartford, Kent, to John Miskin and Sarah nee Black, he was one of eleven children. He moved to the Horsleydown area, and was licensed by the Apothecaries Company to act as a general practitioner in 1820. Miskin became involved in Conservative Party politics: a Horsleydown Loyal Conservative Association was formed in 1843, and he became its President.
