St. Ignatius College Preparatory (San Francisco) is a Jesuit high school located in the United States of America in San Francisco, California. SI was founded in 1855 by Fr. Anthony Maraschi of the Jesuits. The original school served students ranging in age from 8 to 20 and later split into the University of San Francisco and St. Ignatius High School in the 1900s. When SI moved to its sixth site in the Sunset District in 1969, it changed its name to St. Ignatius College Preparatory. More than 30,000 students have graduated from the school, over 70 percent of whom have remained in the San Francisco Bay Area.
