Not very common themselves, Sardine tins are more likely to be found in the open than on corpses. They also commonly spawn in trash cans and containers. Eating a tin will restore a small amount of Booker's health. Amusingly, "Best Before 8/7/1900" is printed on one side of the can, meaning they're twelve years out of date during the events of BioShock Infinite.
