The Death Claw, also known as the DeathClaw, is an enemy in Final Fantasy III. Like most of the monsters in the Cave of Shadows, it splits into two when hit by a weapon, except a katana, unless that hit is a killing blow, or inflicts Paralysis on them. It is highly advised to carry at least one or two Ancient Swords with the party for that alone and have one character as a Dark Knight.
