Lü Lingqi is the fictional name given to the daughter of the late Han Dynasty warlord Lü Bu and his first wife Lady Yan. Her real given name is unknown. The name "Lü Lingqi" originated in the Koei video game Dynasty Tactics 2. When Liu Bei in turn approached Cao Cao for aid, Lü Bu was surrounded by their coalition at Xiapi and sought reinforcements from Yuan Shu. Lü Bu sent a letter to Yuan Shu offering his daughter's hand in marriage. Yuan Shu, however, was still offended by Lü Bu's earlier denial, and refused to send troops until Lü Bu's daughter was personally delivered.
