Gashgiss is a small, furry rodent-man who leads a race known as Noodnics, who shows Lone Wolf a way through the tunnel of Tarnalin in the book Fire on the Water. He leads Lone Wolf past two Helghast lying in ambush, if the player is able to communicate with him using the Kai discipline of Animal Kinship. However, in exchange for this aid, the Noodnics will steal all of Lone Wolf's gold. If the player does not possess Animal Kinship, then the Noodnics will simply attack Lone Wolf and drive him away, and he must continue on through Tarnalin on his own (and contend with the Helghasts).
